The inception of Kidz United Football Club took place in Tacloban City, Philippines, in response to the urgent need for psychosocial support among grassroots football players who faced significant challenges and stress following the devastation of Typhoon Yolanda in 2013. The initial recruitment focused on players aged 10-12.
Since then, a steady stream of youth players has joined the club, participating in the developmental programs. Many of these players have been selected to represent the club in various competitions, including notable events such as the Thirsty Cup and the Ceres Cup. Remarkably, several graduates of the club have been scouted and recruited to join college varsity teams in the National Capital Region (NCR).
Since its establishment in 2014, Kidz United Football Club takes pride in having served three generations of grassroots players, making a positive impact on their lives and contributing to the broader community.
Regrettably, football activities came to a halt during the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the gradual return to normalcy, Kidz United Football Club Inc. officially organized itself on March 8, 2022. The club is steadfast in its commitment to serving grassroots football for both boys and girls, supporting them until their transition to youth football.
Embarking on its renewed direction, Kidz United Football Club is set to broaden its reach by connecting with more grassroots players within communities. The focus is on enhancing player quality, transitioning from non-elite to elite youth player development. The ultimate goal is to strive for excellence, aiming to unlock the highest potential of our players.
